Biography

Ken is a Communication and PR Specialist and a Radio Netherlands Training Center (RNTC) Fellow based in Nairobi, Kenya with over 10 years of experience in Strategic Communications and Knowledge Management. He is currently pursuing a Master Degree in Communication Studies at the University of Nairobi. He has also Mastered Social Media at RNTC in Hilversum, Netherlands and trained on Economics/Tax Justice Reportage at the Norway School of Economics.
 
His areas of specialization include; strategic communications; development and implementation of communication & marketing strategies, media & public relations; support of advocacy and policy campaigns; development of website information; capacity building-media & communications. He has been involved in several high-profile assignments and participated in successful communications and media campaigns. An example of one such initiative is the Climate Story Lab Africa (ongoing) a series of interventions designed by Exposure Labs and Doc Society with a laser focus determination to accelerate effective climate storytelling.
 
He was also involved in the Global Brave Campaign by Amnesty International that documented stories of change while profiling persons at risk and human rights defenders, the Youth Empowerment Development Fund, Good Pitch Kenya and the Artistic Freedom of Expression Campaign in Kenya.
