Co-Director & Producer, Mycelium Media Colab
Jacqueline is an experienced producer and director, having worked for 20 years as a storyteller, using documentary film, visual theatre and other media platforms to share stories. She has spent over 15 years developing content about climate change and sustainability, and has worked as a freelance director, producer, cinematographer, editor and facilitator. Her journey as a storyteller began in live theatre, creating women’s multimedia visual theatre work. Moving into documentary film, she established her own company and focused her attention on stories about environmental justice. Her company has produced numerous videos for corporates and not-for-profit organizations in South Africa, as well as for the national broadcaster SABC.
Her recent work includes producing videos for 350.org, co-directing inserts for an environmental broadcast TV show, and developing an interactive website platform, Water Stories, that shares stories and information about freshwater and ocean pollution though the work of academics, activists and creatives in Cape Town. Jacqueline is a founding member and the co-director of Mycelium Media Colab, a collaborative enterprise that uses storytelling across platforms to create awareness of environmental and social regenerative solutions. She is currently co-producing a 6-part documentary series on the climate crisis as it plays out in Southern Africa.
