Africa contributes 5% of global CO2 emissions and receives 3% of the global climate budget. The climate finance landscape remains complex for local actors and populations to navigate. How can we simplify this? What does the public need to know? We need the best of our story telling and communication talent together with the active stakeholders informing the public why climate finance matters, how it shapes the next phase of development in Africa and from whom they should expect accountability and a plan. This work costs, and we stakeholders need to normalize paying for it.
