Fibby Kioria is the former Program Director of Maisha Film Lab and the co-founder of Manyatta Screenings. She produced the American Masterclass edition on Mira Nair, Line Produced the Mira Nair & Zippy Kimundu short documentary commissioned by TRIBECA on the portrait of Robert Katende’s life ‘a fork, a spoon & a KNIGHT’. She also produced the music video for the song ‘# 1 Spice’ from Disney’s ‘Queen of Katwe’ soundtrack.
Fibby is a ‘Berlinale Talent Campus’ alumni and Torino Film Lab. She actively participates in juries and programs for several film festivals with a focus on African Cinema. She is an Associate Producer for the Sembene Across Africa film-screening program. She is also part of the CiniDb team tasked with putting together a new directory for African film professionals and a founding member of the East African Screen Collective.
She is currently the DW Akademie consultant for the Uganda Film Fund program.
