Biography
A global Changemaker and Climate Justice activist, Caroline Kiiru brings together campaigning flair and organizational development. She has mobilized and implemented various youth and gender campaigns around the globe. She led the Kenya Youth Climate Network into COP17 where we presented the youth stand and also contributed to Kenya’s position paper.
Beyond this Carol has helped develop the Kitui County Energy plan in 2019 that saw local communities participate and innovate renewable energy solutions. Currently she is the Biodiversity and Climate Change Manager at Laudato Si Movement leading discourse within the Catholic community in amplifying the nexus of biodiversity, climate justice, faith and gender and our moral duty to protect our common home.
