Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim is a multiple award-winning investigative journalist and creative writer based in Gombe state, Nigeria with experience in investigative/data journalism. He is an AIJC Fellow.
In 2021 alone, he took 4 highly competitive journalism awards home at both national and international levels: he either won or was shortlisted for the West African Media Excellence Conference and Awards (WAMECA), Otufodunrin Journalists Award, Youths Digest Journalism Awards and international Centre For Investigative Reporting (ICIR) Investigative/Data Journalism Awards.
He was also a finalist for the Youths Digest Journalism Awards 2020 and was shortlisted for the New Man Writing Contest 2018. He was shortlisted for for COP26 Climate Tracker Fellowship. He was among the 4 lucky winners of free ticket to participate at DW Global Media Forum 2022 held in Bonn, Germany.
