I am an Award-winning Environmental Conservation champion, Climate Activist, Youth Leader and a changemaker. Enthusiastic and hardworking freshly graduated from Kenyatta University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Community Development, Second class honors, upper division.
I have a proven organizational and communication skill and I am able to take on any required task and adapt to changing conditions with a resourceful and hard-working mindset. My professionalism and accuracy are proven in numerous assignments, community projects and group projects throughout undergraduate courses and activities. I have led and still leads in carrying out environmental conservation projects and initiatives and other humanitarian related projects across the country.
I have volunteered in several Environmental Conservation organizations with a proven record of excellence in the projects undertaken. I currently serve as the Green Rotaract Concept District 9212 Chairperson. This is a big and magical movement of Rotaractors from various clubs in District 9212 which is made up of Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea who are passionate about environment and does their best to take care of flora and fauna. I have several experiences in the community hands on environmental projects through the organizations such as Green peace Africa (Kenyan Chapter), Miti Alliance, Team Environment Kenya, Rotaract and Rotary, Fridays for future Kenya among many others.
As a result of the great work that I have done in the environmental conservation space, I have gotten several awards, recognitions and features in both television stations, articles and magazines. My recent nomination being “Climate Change Voice of the year Award” by WeNaturalists. This a global award which is dedicated to changemakers who doing their best to help save the planet and action oriented towards mitigating the impacts of climate change. In the last 8 months, I have led in the Environmental Education, planting and growing of 15,000 trees in 20 primary schools in Kenya as a way of encouraging and nurturing the conservation culture for young people and also mitigate climate change impacts.
I have been an Intern at UNESCO chair on higher education for green economy and sustainability, Kenyatta University (UNESCO HEDGES) where I have been working on Research department, Advocacy and Communication. Through the team, we have able to publish 2two scientific journals on green economy and sustainability and how this can be mainstreamed on institutions of higher learning. I have good communication skills, Team player, Leadership skills and good interpersonal skills.
