Dennis is a Kenyan-born photographer and Filmaker/ Cinematographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. Since the age of 10, Dennis work has been consistently sought out by a number of prominent advertising clients, including British High Commission Nairobi Climate Change makers photography competition which his work was displayed in the Museums, KALASHA Awards his film won the prestigious award, Advanced Media in U.A.E and many others. He has photographed a number of recognizable Humanitarian Agencies’ including UNHCR, WFP, UNICEF, in both world largest Refugee camps in Kenya , Dadaab and Kakuma.
His own curiosity for different ways of living have brought him to new and unfamiliar territories— from areas as far away as the War zone countries and states in Khartoum Sudan and the brother South Sudan in different states of the countries.
A firm believer in fostering creativity and fulfilment through personal pursuits, he did some pictorial projects in Uganda and in Kenya inspired by his humorous behind-the-scenes escapades on shoots—giving viewers a look into how unpredictable and entertaining life on set can be.
The birds-eye-view of his photography methods—whether it be through his blog, tutorials, or videos—demonstrates that it’s not always the technique that makes a good photograph, but one’s personal connection to the subjects—as well as the client—that truly makes an image resonate. Most recently, Dennis works as a humanitarian.
