Risper Oteke is a trained environmentalist currently a postgraduate researcher at University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Ms. Oteke has a strong inclination towards gender in regard to conservation.
Her focus has been on gender dynamics in relation to climate change, marine resources access and sustainable livelihoods in coastal Kenya.
Working with children and women in turning challenges into opportunities for resilient, ocean literate communities has been motivating as she provides capacity building and awareness on key ecosystems and species.
